Event info
YarnMobile: Noon - 2 PM
Come explore the truck’s awesomely curated selection of yarn, knitting accessories (needles, hooks, stitch markers, etc), gifts, and wearables. The shop accepts cash or credit.
Learn to Knit Event: 1 PM - 3 PM
Mason City knitting group Hooked On Yarn will be hanging out in the taproom working on their latest masterpieces. They are a super fun and welcoming group and LOVE to teach. If you’re a beginner who has always wanted to try knitting, swing by the YarnMobile for supplies (mention you’re a newbie) and then just find the knitters inside anytime between 1 PM - 3 PM. They’ll teach you the basics and give lots of encouragement. Experienced knitters are very welcome to come hang out and knit, teach, or just observe. (Everyone is welcome. No cost to participate. No purchase necessary at the bar.)
About the YarnMobile
YarnMobile is Deb Duoos and Lindsey Williams, a mother-daughter team of knitting enthusiasts and yarn hoarders based in Austin, Minnesota. They both spent years lamenting the lack of a LYS (local yarn store) within a reasonable driving distance, so they finally decided to do something about it. YarnMobile launched its online boutique in the spring of 2019 and its mobile yarn truck later that summer. For more info, please visit their website or Facebook page.
About Hooked On Yarn
This Mason City-based group of knitting enthusiasts meets all the time to work on their projects together. One of their regular events is a monthly meet-up here in the taproom (1st Thursday of each month at 7 PM) where all are welcome.
