We’re celebrating 100 years of our building with a big 1920s themed bash featuring a costume contest, a special beer, and a fabulous vintage-vibe band! Please join us as we toast to our favorite place!

1920s Costume Contest

Entering the come-and-go costume contest? Winner gets a $50 gift card. Here’s the instructions!

1. Come to Fat Hill between 7 and 10 on April 12 in costume and snap a picture.

2. Post it on your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and tag it #fathill100. Make sure your privacy settings are set to public so we can find it.

That’s it! Our staff will vote on their favorites and hopefully we’ll have a winner by Monday. We will comment on your post if you win with instructions on getting hold of your $50 FHB gift card.

About the band:

The Gentlemen's Anti-Temperance League is a swing band from Minneapolis. A melting pot of hot jazz, swing, and latin rhythms, brought to a boil by endless energy. Nine years, five albums, and hundreds of shows have honed GATL into a finely tuned machine— greased with whiskey, regular exercise, and a taste for wheels on pavement.

What the critics say about GATL's music:

“The Gentlemen’s Anti-Temperance League take things all the way back to the 1930s
with their Django Reinhardt-influenced gypsy jazz, and they do it damn well.”
-Andrea Swensson, The Current

"... takes the best style of music from each decade after Prohibition and creates a
unique musical style."
-CBS Minnesota

“Some would call it “old-timey,” while others would argue “timeless.’’
-Duluth Homegrown
