Textile artist Jasmyn Blanchard from Violet Creations in Nora Springs is here to help spruce up your home or office as she joins us for a cozy beginner-level macrame workshop in the taproom on September 27. For those unfamiliar with macrame, it’s basically a yarn, leather, or rope-based crafting style using knots and fringe to make something pretty. It was super popular in the 1970s and is currently having a trendy resurgence! This small group class (only 12 spots available) will be making these cute coasters seen here. (Two coasters per participant.)
Your $30 ticket includes:
yarn (multiple color choices available the night of)
your finished coasters (2)
instruction and encouragement
one free beer, wine, cider, or root beer
The workshop will start as a group at 7 PM. You might want to arrive a few minutes early to get your free drink and settle in! Please check in with the bar when you arrive.
(No refunds on tickets.)
