Meeting people you connect with can be really difficult these days, especially if dating apps are not for you. In hopes of making that search for your special someone a little bit more fun (and efficient!), Fat Hill is hosting a vintage-style speed dating event.
How does it work? Super simple! Come to Fat Hill on Speed Dating night between 6 pm - 7 pm and register at the bar. We’ll give you a name tag and a little card that you’ll record your matches on. Each gal will have a table and every ten minutes the bell will ring and the guys will rotate through those tables. (They'll be conversation prompts at your table if you need them.)
If you find yourself on one of these mini dates with someone that obviously isn’t for you romantically, hey, no problem — we can all use some practice talking to strangers! And who knows, you might make a friend by accident.
Meet someone that you’d like to see again? Mark it on your match card. You’ll turn in those after everyone has had their ten minute date. We’ll email everyone the next day with any potential matches and the contact info for those people. (Both parties need to have indicated they are interested to make a match.) The match cards are strictly confidential and Fat Hill will toss those immediately after we notify everyone of their matches.
After all the dates, the event ends, but you are of course welcome to stay and mix and mingle (without a buzzer about to go off!) in the taproom. Feel free to try out any of the unused discussion prompts on a new acquaintance or two.

This event is free, no-pressure, and no contact info is exchanged unless you indicate on your match sheet that this is OK with you.
As this is our first event, we are casting the widest possible net. We are not separating into groups based on age, etc. If we get enough interest/feedback on speed dating, in the future this event may become a regularly scheduled thing at FHB and we might hold more specific events based on age, different dating preferences (M/M, F/F, etc), geography, interests, etc. Feedback is welcome at contact@fathillbrewing.com.
