On Saturday, August 24, Visit Mason City and Main Street Mason City are taking over downtown with their Brine and Dine event, a celebration of all things pickles! Fat Hill is getting in on the fermentable fun with a pickle and beer pairing that afternoon spotlighting our locally made beer and pickles from local farms. Our pickle flights (4 pickles + 4 little beers) are sourced here in north Iowa, with organization/culinary expertise/produce from Mossycup Farms and ingredients from Twisted River Farms, Red Shed Gardens, and North Forty Gardens. Although the final menu is yet to be set, start dreaming of a spicy pickle with a crisp pilsner or a herby pickle with a grassy IPA, a sour pickle with a smooth wheat, etc... the possibilities are endless! Different flavors in the pickles bring out flavors in the beer you may not have noticed before. It's a fun way to re-learn a beer you're already friends with ...and an easy way to try new ones. This event is also a good way to support your local farmer friends!
Your $15 ticket price includes the pickle flight and accompanying beers (four pickles/four beers). No substitutions.
This is an afternoon event. Come in any time between noon and 5 pm on Saturday, August 24 to get your goodies.
Tickets are required for this event. Walk-in requests for pickle flights unfortunately cannot be fulfilled. Tickets to our food pairings usually sell out.
No refunds on tickets.
